It's so exciting to see a child pick up a book and start to read.  When a non-reader is TRANSFORMED into a reader...you know all it right with the world.  Those emergent readers are using predictable text with easy picture support.
Use sight words and a holiday theme to make these little readers. Even your earliest students will be successful.
Here are 5 quick holiday themed word wall word books.  They use simple word wall words:  come, see, the, here, is, I, have, some, big, and little.

Simply cut the 3 squares and attached them with a staple to the large rectangle and let the reading begin.
